Yacht'UP services the four systems that move a yacht — engine, transmission, control and thruster — and tests them as one before you leave the dock. Here is how we work on each.
01 Engines
Engine service & overhaul
Whether your engine needs a pre-season once-over or a complete rebuild in the middle of August, the work is the same: meticulous. We specialise in the full overhaul of MAN and CAT marine engines, using original manufacturer parts throughout.
Careful assembly and proper finishing are only half of it. Before an engine goes back in, we check the accessories that hang off it; once it's in, we run sea trials so the whole propulsion system is proven to work as a unit — not just on the bench.
02 Transmissions
Transmission repair — our flagship.
Transmissions are where Yacht'UP made its name. We've invested heavily in dedicated workshop equipment for gearbox repair, because a transmission that fails mid-charter can end a season — and it usually fails at the worst possible moment.
We have the know-how across the major marine gearbox marques — ZF, Twin Disc, Reintjes and L+S. Annual transmission maintenance is a service in its own right, separate from the engine, and we diagnose hydraulic and mechanical control faults at the source. Where it makes sense, we'll recommend upgrading to a ZF electronic control system for smoother, more reliable operation.
03 Controls
Electronic control systems
Ageing hydraulic, mechanical or electrical controls make a boat harder to handle than it should be. We replace them with modern ZF electronic control technology — a quick, clean installation that gives you responsive, reliable command at the helm.
We adjust the processor so trolling works correctly, and we're trained on the current ZF control families — so the system is set up properly, not just wired in.

04 Thrusters
Bow thrusters & stabilisers
As SIDE-POWER specialists, we calculate, install and repair bow thrusters — tunnel or retractable, hydraulic or electric — sized correctly for the boat rather than guessed at.
After installation we fine-tune the power so it behaves the way you expect at the dock. We also fit stabiliser systems to take the roll out of a passage — worthwhile even on boats under 20 metres.
05 Beyond the workshop

Not every job belongs in the workshop, and not every job ends when the tools go down.

Mobile repairs, dockside
When a repair is better done aboard, our equipped vehicles bring the workshop to the boat — diagnostics and repairs across the Palma marinas and beyond, so the yacht doesn't have to move to get fixed.
B
Reports for classified vessels
For vessels under class, we produce the technical diagnostics and documentation surveyors expect — with work photographed at every meaningful stage. We prepare reports for Lloyd's Register, ABS, Bureau Veritas and GL.
