01 Who we are
A specialist workshop, not a general yard.
We don't try to be everything. We go deep on propulsion: the engines that drive a yacht, the gearboxes that transmit that power, the controls that manage it, and the thrusters that place it alongside.
Founded by master marine engineer Karsten Hertrich in 1998, the workshop has spent three decades building its reputation the old-fashioned way — through repeat clients and referrals rather than advertising. The bosses still work on the boats.
02 What we do
Four disciplines, one propulsion system.
A yacht's drivetrain is a single chain — engine, gearbox, control, thruster. We service every link, then test the whole system as a unit before you leave the dock.

Every repair is documented at each meaningful stage, so you see exactly what was opened, what was replaced and what went back in.
04 The facility
Where we'd rather spend the money.
Yacht'UP has never needed to advertise — clients have always been the best advertising. So instead of ad budgets, we reinvest in the workshop: special tooling, dedicated transmission equipment, and continuous manufacturer training.
When a repair is better done aboard, our equipped vehicles bring the workshop to the boat — diagnostics and repairs across the Palma marinas and beyond.

We inspect and diagnose — in the workshop or aboard — then explain exactly what we've found, by phone or in person, in Spanish, English or German.
Step 02
Quote
A clear scope at the standard distributor rate. We don't inflate parts prices, and we handle manufacturer warranties directly.
Step 03
Rebuild
Meticulous work with original parts, documented with photographs at every meaningful stage of the job.
Step 04
Prove
Sea trials confirm the propulsion system runs correctly as a whole — then we back the work with our guarantee.

We work with the manufacturers, not around them.
